Environmental Standards are provided in .csv or xls files, and are typically imported into a new site / project upon commencement.
The desired files are specified and imported using Import - Environmental Standards. When loading an environmental standard the file will initially be loaded into an Import Template where they can be reviewed, and if necessary, any edits made. The environmental standard is then imported using the normal import functionality.
A sample set of Environmental Standards is included with ESdat, and is included in the \Environmental Standards subdirectory of the ESdat installation location (normally c:\Program Files\ESdat).
If an "Environmental Standards" subdirectory is created under the Network Directory or Template Path the user will be automatically directed to this location when selecting to import environmental standards.
You can create your own files using the provided environmental standards as a basis, or create from scratch. If creating from scratch the following procedure is recommended:
1. Import - Environmental Standards
2. When Prompted for a standard click Cancel, then "Yes" you would like to create a new standard.
3. Insert your data and assign a ChemCode.
•The files are of the following format.
ChemCode |
ChemName |

•Column headings are not required if not used.
•For leached samples the "Leached" value must be set to "True", and the Matrix Type set to the original matrix (normally soil).
4. Save the file in your ESdat Network Directory, or somewhere you will remember.
