Navigation:  Importing > Creating Import Templates

To create an import template click the import button, you will get presented with the following menu (the example below assumes you were using a standard database provided with ESdat.  Other databases may have less options).

 

 

•Blank Import Templates are key data tables or collections of data tables;

•All Data Tables provides a list of any of the data tables or reference tables in the database;

•Files: laboratory files, guidelines, or other special file formats;

•pLog: Import from PLog

 

Once the template is selected ESdat will launch Excel and generate an Import Template (with the exception of the pLog import).  Data can then be pasted or typed into these templates and immediately imported, or the templates can be sent to other organisations for population and e-mailed back and the data imported.
