Hi, 

I am unable to create Locations in ESdat online - either via the Lab Reports or Projects/Sites sections. When I click on 'Create location' in each, the following blank screens appear.

ESdat blank create location snip.png (12kb) downloaded 2 time(s).

ESdat blank create location snip 2.png (8kb) downloaded 2 time(s).

I am able to create Sites, and the user settings indicate that I have the same permissions as colleagues who are able to create and manage Locations, including for the specific Sites I have tried making Locations for.

Hi Alex,

Can you please confirm which web browser your are using?

Do you have another browser (Chrome, Edge, etc) that you can try to see if you get the same result?

Finally, does it also happen through the Field Portal /  Locations menu?

I tried to recreate the scenario, and it worked successfully on all screens using Edge.

Hi Nick,

I am using the Chrome browser but have also tried in Edge and encountered the same problem. No settings in either browser appeared to be out of place, and changing site permission settings (e.g. regarding pop-ups) did not have an effect.

The problem also seems to occur through the Field Portal/Locations menu - clicking on 'Create location' leads to a blank screen.

Hi Alex,

Here's a couple of other things to try:

Can you please try clearing the browser cache and see if that resolves the issue?

Do you get the same problem if you use a different computer?  You mention that it is working fine for other users - can you try logging in on one of their computers?

What happens if you use a different internet connection?  Can you please try hotspotting on your phone and see if you get the same issue?

Hi Nick,

Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately clearing the browser cache and hotspotting from my phone did not resolve the issue. I also tried using another laptop which I had not logged into ESdat on before, but encountered the same problem.

I will try and log on using a colleague's computer when next in the office and check if that works.
